After their son died from the gunshot of an unsecured gun at a sleepover, Bruce and Claire Petillo have a message for other parents: Ask about guns.

It’s been 18 months, and Bruce Petillo, 52, can still vividly recall the day he dropped his 15-year-old son, Christian, off at a friend’s house for a sleepover.

“After driving him over there, I stuck my hand out (the window),” Petillo, who lives in Arizona, tells “He grabbed my hand and our fingers interlaced.”

That was the last time Bruce Petillo touched his son while he was alive.
